1: Junagarh Fort

Junagarh Fort is a fort in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. This fort was originally called Chintamani and was renamed Junagarh or Old Fort in the early 20th century when the ruling family moved to Lalgarh Palace. The modern city of Bikaner has developed around the fort,  986 walls along with 37 bastions, Junagarh fort boasts magnanimous architecture. Popularly known as the Bikaner Fort by many, the main entrance of the fort is called the Suraj Pole.

Located inside the Junagarh Fort, also known as Bikaner Fort, Prachina museum houses the royal ladies' costumes or what is also referred to as Poshaks, textiles, and accessories. Apart from the costumes, the museum also has a display of ancient crafts, articles, and other artifacts about the historical era. 
 
3: Lalgarh Palace

The Lalgarh Palace is just 3 km away from Bikaner city. This palace was constructed by King Ganga Singh using red stones in 1902 in memory of his father, King Lal Singh. The splendid lattice and filigree work in sandstone is the prime attraction of the palace. Sir Swinton Jacob designed the building’s framework by excellently collaborating with Rajput, Mughal, and European styles of architecture on one platform.

The Camel breeding farm was founded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in 1984 & is 8 km from the city center of Bikaner. This is one of the biggest camel reproduction farms in Asia & is popularly known as Government Camel Breeding Farm. Located on the Shivbari temple road, & opens every day between 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

As the name suggests, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and was built in the 19th century by Maharaja Doongar Singh Ji. Also known as Laleshwar Mahadeo temple by the locals, Shiva Bari temple is made of red sandstone and has many miniature paintings that reflect unique Rajasthani traditions and culture. 
 
6: Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum
Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum
This museum houses well-displayed exhibits, including terracotta ware from the Gupta period, Rajasthani traditional musical instruments, rich gold paintings by local artisans, exquisite carpets and royal vestments, and miniature models of the Gajner and Lallgarh palaces and the Royal Bikaner train. Also known as the Ganga Singh Government Museum, it is managed and operated by the Rajasthan Government.

Located on the top floor of Sadul Niwas inside the Lalgarh Palace, the Sadul Singh museum was established in 1972. Showcasing the brilliance of Georgian paintings, hunting trophies, and unique artifacts, this museum is dedicated to the great kings of Bikaner, namely Maharaja Ganga Singh, Sadul Singh, and Karni Singh.

The Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary is at a distance of 32 km from the town of Bikaner. In the days of yore, Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary used to be the royal hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Bikaner. There is a sparkling lake inside the sanctuary & in the sweltering summer months, one can see a variety of wild animals that come to the lake to quench their thirst. Apart from being a perennial favorite with the resident animal species of Gajner Wildlife sanctuary, the lake also draws a variety of avian species. The Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary is home to several wild animals like wildfowls, deer, antelope, nilgai, chinkara, black buck, desert foxes, and wild boars.

Karni Mata Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Karni Mata at Deshnoke, 30 km from Bikaner. It is also known as the Temple of Rats. Standing tall is the main shrine of Mata Karni, accompanied by almost 20,000 rats that roam everywhere inside the temple. These holy rats are called kabbas, and people travel great distances to pay their respects. While here, one can watch rats nibbling on the prasad and slurping milk.

11: Bhandasar Jain Temple

Bhandasar Jain Temple is one of the 27 beautiful Jain temples in Bikaner, dedicated to the fifth Tirthankara, Sumatinath. It's also believed to be the most beautiful & the highest temple. This temple was built by a Jain merchant, Bhanda Shah & the foundation is filled with pure ghee and dry coconuts. The three-storied temple is made of red sandstone and white marble.

How To Reach Bikaner

Airways - Though Bikaner does not have its own airport, the closest airport will be the Jodhpur Airport, which is 251 kilometres away from the city.
