Bijolia, located at a distance of 48 kms from Bundi on the Chittaurgarh road, served as the main centre of art and architecture during the Chauhan rule. The geographical location of Bijolia is such that one has to cross a plateau to reach this town.There are three temples at Bijolia which were built by the Chauhan rulers in the 13th century AD and are dedicated to Lord Shiva. A serene water tank is located near the temple area.
 

This rambling, authentic, 200 year old haveli is run by the very helpful and knowledgeable Braj Bhushanjee family, descendants of the former prime ministers of Bundi. It’s an enchanting place with original stone interiors, splendid rooftop views, beautiful, well preserved murals, and all sorts of other historic and valuable artefacts. The terrific range of accommodation includes some lovely, recently modernised rooms that are still in traditional style. It’s a fascinating living museum where you can really get a feel for Bundi’s heritage.

Chaurasi Khambon ki Chhatri is a porch supported by 84 pillars. It was built by Rao Anirudh Singh in 1740 in honour of the services of the nurse, Deva. The structure is built on a tall podium and has two storeys. This porch is considered as a place of worship and also serves as a monument of honour. Various images are carved on all the pillars of this structure which depict the lifestyle of the Rajput kings of the 17th century. The base of the edifice has various animal pictures while the second floor has a large round curved roof at the centre surrounded by four small domes at the corners.
 

The Dhabhai Kund, which is famous for its fascinating geometric construction, was built in the 16th century and is located near the Raniji-ki-Baori. It is a step well which was built to provide water to those regions of Rajasthan which were hit by drought. It is famous for its beautiful carvings and murals. A couple of Step Wells are also located outside the Chauhan Gate which is known as the Nagar Sagar.
 

Jait Sagar, nestled in the Aravalli Ranges, is a beautiful lake which was built by Jait Meena. The beauty of the lake is enhanced by the lotus flowers in full bloom on its surface. Jait Sagar is surrounded by towering walls and has four gateways that serve as entry to the lake. It is located at a distance of less than 3 kms from Bundi.
 

The very impressive Rani Ji-Ki-Baori is 46 mts deep and has some superb carving. One of the largest of its kind; it was built in 1699 by Rani Nathavatji and is worthing the place.
