Indore is one of the popular cities in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Also known as the Education hub of the state due to IIT & IIM campuses in the city. The city is about 190 km to the west of Bhopal. Indore is the 9th largest city in India and 76th largest city in the world, on the banks of the River Khan and River Sarawati. In the center of the city exists a small temple of Lord Indreshwar.

1: Indore Museum

Indore Museum, also known as Central Museum, is located near the General Post Office in Indore. This museum exhibits two galleries. Gallery I exhibits the prehistoric period of MP's from about 5000-4000BC. Gallery II displays the Hindu mythological carvings. This museum also exhibits some of the finest collections of Parmar sculptures from Hinglajgarh and collections of medieval and pre-medieval Hindu and Jain sculptures, and a collection of coins, arms, & armor. The museum is open on all days except Monday between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm.

2: Chatries

Chhattris are the cenotaphs built in the memory of the Holkar rulers. The cenotaphs are tombs built on the cremation spot of the Holka rulers near Rajwada. These Chhatris are a constant reminder of the Holkar rulers and their glory.

3: Lal Bagh Palace

The lal Baag Palace is on the outskirts of the town, towards the southwest on the bank of the river khan, & is a three-story building built by Maharaja Shivaji Rao Holkar during 1886-1921. Now it has been turned into a Museum. The main attractions of the palace are furnished rooms with beautiful carvings on the walls & ceilings. The museum is open on all days except Monday between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm with nominal charges.

4: Kanch Temple

Kanch Mandir is near the Rajwada. The temple is made up of glass and mirrors and is a Jain temple. The temple attracts both tourists as well as Jain pilgrims. The temple opens at 10:00 AM.

5: Rajwada

Rajwda is near the Chhatris in the center of the city and is the historical palace of the Holkars, constructed in 1766. Today it shows royal grandeur and architectural skills. On the rear part of the palace, there is a beautiful garden with fountains, an artificial waterfall, and some magnificent pieces of 11th-century sculpture.

6: Town Hall Or Mahatama Gandhi Hall

The Mahatama Gandhi Town Hall, also known as Kind Edward Hall, & the building is one of the most spectacular structures in the city. Clock Tower is a magnificent feature of the town hall. The Central hall can accommodate about 2000 people at a time. The complex consists of a temple, a children's park, and a library.

7: Nehru Park Indore

Nehru Park is behind Regal Cir, New Agarwal Nagar, Shivaji Nagar, Indore. It is a zoological park and is popularly known as Chidiya Ghar. The Zoo also houses many animals & a toy train for children to have fun.

Airport - The city is served by Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport about 8 km from city. Frequent flights are available for varios cities, the airport also serves as the major hub for International cargo in Madhya Pradesh.

Railway Station - The city is served by Indore Junction railway station. Indore railway division comes under Ratlam Division of the Western Railways of the Indian Rai. The city is also served by seven other small railway stations within the city.

Bus Service - Atal Indore city transport services ltd. is availbale for local transportation as City bus on 36 Routes and around 170 bus stops approx. Other Indore BRTS(iBUS) with AC and non-AC bus services are also avilable in the city.
