Jaipur, popularly known as Pink City & Paris of India & is one of the most visited cities by tourists from all across the world & the capital of the Indian State Rajasthan was founded on 18 November 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amer, after whom the city got its name. Here the past comes alive in magnificent forts and palaces where once lived the maharajas. The bustling bazaars of Jaipur are famous for Rajasthani jewelry, fabric, colored gems, and mouth-watering local delicacies. 1: Amer Fort
AMER FORT
The Fort is 11 kilometers from Jaipur city on a hill, built by Raja Man Singh in 1592 AD. Major attractions of Amer are Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khaas, Ganesh Pol, Jaleb Chowk, Singh Pol, Jai Mandir, Yash Mandir, Sukh Mandir, Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), Suhag Mandir, Shila Devi Temple, Bhool Bhulaiya, and Zanana Dyodhi. There are two ways to reach the Amber fort, one is via elephant riding (for Rs. 900/- for two persons), and another is a walkway. Timings for entrance are 8 AM to 6 PM. Entry Fee, For Indian Rs. 25.00, Student - Rs. 10, For Foreigner - Rs. 200.00 Student - 100. Light Show is also organized at this Fort & in English at 7.30 PM  with an entry fee of Rs. 200.00 & in Hindi at 8:00 PM with an entry fee of Rs. 100.00.  
 
2: The Jaigarh Fort
The Jaigarh Fort
Jaigarh Fort was constructed to protect the Amer Fort & the palace within the complex. Jaigarh Fort is architecturally similar to Amer Fort and offers a scenic view of the city of Jaipur. The fort houses the world's largest cannon on wheels, a palace complex (Laxmi Vilas, Lalit Mandir, Vilas Mandir, and Aram Mandir), and the assembly hall of the warriors known as 'Shubhat Niwas' along with a museum and an armory.   
 
3: City Palace
CITY PALACE
The City Palace is built on the banks of Pichola Lake and is a complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. This Palace also includes the famous Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal. The Palace was built between 1729 and 1732, initially by Sawai Jai Singh II. The entry gates are richly decorated & there are three entry gates to the complex, namely Virendra Pol, Udai Pol, and the Tripolia Gate. Opening hours 9.30 am-5 pm. Entry fees for Indians with a camera is Rs.100 & for a foreigner with a camera is 400 & with a guide is Rs.300. Charges for Royal Grandeur tour is Rs. 2500 & the price of admission includes entry to Jaigarh & is valid for two days.
 
4: Hawa Mahal
HAWA MAHAL
The renowned Palace Of The Winds or Hawa Mahal is in the heart of Jaipur at Hawa Mahal Rd, Badi Choupad & this majestic five-story palace was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. It was built so the women of the royal household could observe street festivals while being unseen from outside. The main highlight of Hawa Mahal is its pyramid shape and its 953 windows or 'Jharokhas, which are decorated with intricate designs.
 
5: Nahargarh Fort
NAHARGARH FORT
Nahargarh Fort was built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II on the Aravalli hills. Along with Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh acted as a defensive circle to guard the city. The Fort was named Sudarshangarh, but it became known as Nahargarh, which means Abode of Tigers. The Fort offers a magnificent vision of the picturesque surroundings to the visitors. 
 
6: Jantar Mantar
JANTAR MANTAR
Jantar Mantar is an equinoctial sundial & UNESCO World Heritage site that features the world's largest stone sundial, near City Palace and Hawa Mahal. Jantar Mantar is the name given to a series of five magnificent structures built in Jaipur, New Delhi, Ujjain, Varanasi & Mathura.
 
7: Jagat Shiromani
Jagat Shiromani
Jagat Shiromani is a Hindu temple situated in Amer. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu gods Meera bai, Krishna & Vishnu. This temple was built between 1599-1608 AD by queen Kanakwati, wife of king Man Singh Ist in the memory of his son Jagat Singh. 
 
8: Jal Mahal
JAL MAHAL
The Jal Mahal is 4 km to the north of Jaipur & is on the main Amer-Jaipur road, in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city. The Palace is transformed into an exclusive restaurant that caters to the elite. Apart from the small market stalls and camel rides, there is not much else to do at the Jal Mahal.  
 
9: Albert Hall
ALBERT HALL
The Place is located in the Ram Niwas Garden, Kailash Puri, Ashok Nagar. The foundation stone of Albert Hall was laid during the visit of the Prince of Wales. Albert hall consists of Indo-Saracenic kind of architecture & is designed the same as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. This museum amazingly houses 19,000 historical objects and has various collections like metal ware, ivory work, lacquer work, jewelry, textiles, pottery carved wooden objects, arms, clay models, sculptures, educational, scientific, and zoological objects, tribal costumes, ceramics, oil, and miniature paintings and many more.  
 
10: Govind Devji Temple
GOVIND DEVJI TEMPLE
The temple is in the City Palace complex at Shanti Niketan Colony, Tonk Phatak, Jaipur & is dedicated to Lord Krishna. This temple is among the seven temples of Thakur Ji of Vrindavan, including Sri Radhavallabh Ji, Shri Bankey Bihari Ji, Shri Govind Dev Ji, and four others.
 
11: Sisodia Rani Palace
SISODIA RANI PALACE
Sisodia Rani Garden and Palace is a palace garden 6 kilometers from Jaipur city on NH11. Lal Dungri is a royal garden constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. The place consists of tiered multi-level gardens with fountains, watercourses, and painted pavilions.

STATUE CIRCLE
Statue Circle is a memorial built to pay tribute to the founder of Jaipur city, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II & is a historical landmark in the Pink City. Railway Station - The city is served by Jaipur Junction railway station  is a railway station in Jaipur & also serves as the headquarters of the North Western Railway zone of the Indian Railways. 


Bus Service - Intra State bus service  is availbale form bus terminal Sindhi Camp close to the station. Other private luxry bus services are also avilable in the city.
