The Durga Dham is a popular site for worshippers of Goddess Durga. A huge and beautiful 51 foot statue lies at the site next to Lord Shiva. There is also a natural cave at the site. Several devotees visit the dham daily to offer prayers to the God and Goddess and make sacrifices to seek forgiveness. The dham attracts hordes of worshippers during religious festivals especially Navratris.
 

The Ganeshdham is a popular temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The main attraction of the temple is the massive 35 foot statue of Ganesha. The statue was installed by two prominent locals some years ago. Two rivers flow alongside the Ganeshdham adding to its natural beauty. The complex also houses a massive idol of another Hindu deity, Lord Hanuman.
 

The Hanuman Dham is a huge temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. A massive 72 foot statue of Hanuman stands tall at the site. It was constructed in the later part of the 17th century by two prominent devotees, Sudarshan Singh Chakra and Inder Kumar. The area in front of the idol opens into a courtyard which is often crowded by visitors and tourists. Behind there are shrines dedicated to Lord Rama, Shri Radha Krishna and also a hut that was made for Sudarshan Singh Chakra.
 

The Sankirtan Bhawan is a famous temple that is dedicated to Lord Tirupathi Balaji. The temple is also referred to as Kirtan Bhawan as kirtan is performed at dusk every day. Poor people are given food every afternoon by the temple authorities.
 

The Akshya Vat Vriksh is a tree in Muzaffarnagar that dates back to thousands of years. It is believed that Sage Sukha Dev narrated the Srimad Bhagavat to King Parikshit, sitting under this tree. Hence the tree became an icon of sanctity and worship.Thousands of devotees visit the tree to perform Parikrama and pay tribute to the Hindu Gods and Goddesses.
 

The Bhairon Ka Mandir is one of Muzaffarnagar’s most prominent temples. It is famous because it houses eleven Shiv Lingas. The temple is managed by a family of Brahmins who look after all the administrative and festive tasks. The temple is visited by thousands of devotees and is especially crowded on Shivratri and other auspicious days.
