NANDED

Gautala Autramghat Sanctuary, also known as Gautala Abhayarana Sanctuary is a protected wildlife reserve. It lies in the Satmala and Ajantha hill ranges of the Western Ghats, and administratively is in Aurangabad District and Jalgaon District.  It is a south tropical dry deciduous forest within the Western Ghats with differing terrains. The sanctuary is situated amidst dense foliage and widespread grasslands with a thriving population of flora that provides nourishment to a multitude of animal species.

The Gurudwara also known as Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar is located Near Station, Harsh Nagar & was built between 1832 and 1837 by order of Maharaja Ranjit Singh & is the principal Sikh shrine at Nanded. The Gurudwara is built at the place where Guru Gobind Singh died & the inner room of the gurdwara is called the Angitha Sahib and is built over the place where Guru Gobind Singh was cremated in 1708.

The Fort is located in Bahadarpura 3 km away from Kandhar at Khilla Road, Nanded. The fort is encircled with a ditch full of water. It is believed that Rashtrakuta King Krishna III of Malkhed who declared himself as Kandharpuradhi Swar constructed the fort. The Fort is in a ruined condition.
 

The mosque is popularly known as Hazrat Nawab Sarfaraz Khan Sahid Masjid, is situated in Biloli, about 73 km from Nanded Railway Station and is a stone masjid constructed about more than 330 years ago. Lots of people come to visit this Masjid for watching the beauty of its architectures and pollution free atmosphere.
 

The Temple is located in vishnupuri on the banks of river Godavri. The temple is very beautiful and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Temple is of great religious importance visited by many devotees.
 

Mahur or Mahurgad is a town of religious importance in Nanded district and is the birthplace of Hindu God Dattatreya & Atri Rishi and Sati Anasuya lived here. Bramha Vishnu Shiva once got a news about Anasuya that there is no one more pious & pure as her so to test her piousness they arrived under there of asking bhiksha when she brought it, they asked to serve them while being naked, she realised by her power that she is under test so she made them a three headed child & fed them and thus became Dattatreya, the unified God. There are three mountains in Mahur, the first one & most known is of Renuka Devi, who is mother of the god Parshuram, other two are called Datt Shikhar and Atri Anasuya Shikar.
