This temple with conical roof is a dedication to Lord Vishnu. Constructed in 1467, the temple stands over a platform of about 2 inches. The two storey structure divides the shrine into lower and upper part. The cornice is made up of several layers of bricks; there is a perfect alignment between the lower and upper portions. There are three windows that adorn Garbha Griha.
 

Loktak Hydroelectric station involves a barrage, namely Ithai barrage, near Loktak Lake, 39 kms from Imphal in Manipur. The catchment area at the barrage is 1,000 sq kms. The height and length of the barrage are 11 mts and 59 mts respectively. The pond has a live storage capacity of 397 MCM at maximum water level 768.5 mts and the minimum water level is at 766.2 mts. Loktak power house has 3 units of 35 MW each. It has a firm power of 42 MW. NHPC commissioned the project in 1983.
 

The Sendra Tourist Home on the island with an attached Cafeteria in the middle of the lake is an ideal tourist spot. Visitors get a bird's eye view of life on the lake small islands that are actually floating weed on which the lake people live. It is 30 kms away from Imphal. Nestled in the hills of Sendra the Cottages provide comfortable accommodation that overlooks a gorgeous vista of the Loktak Lake. As the resort is being surrounded by the lake, a visual treat of the picturesque landscape of the boathouses and fishermen at work throwing their nets in the water could be seen. Phubala resort, on the Phubala Island, is 40 kms from Imphal. Phubala has a number of popular attractions and is close to the western border of the Loktak Lake. Situated in the vicinity of Loktak Lake, many water sports facilities are available. There are two islands namely Karang and Thanga, located amidst the lake, where the water activities can be done. These islands can be reached through boats. This town also offers a beautiful view of the Loktak Lake, where different migratory birds can be seen frequently.
 

Loktak Lake is the largest freshwater lake in north east India an important tourist attraction of Bishnupur. The Lake is located 48 kilometres from Imphal and can easily be reached on hired cars and buses. A major attraction of Bishnupur, The Keibul Lamjao National Park and the world's largest floating park is located on the southern shore of this lake. An interesting aspect of the Loktak Lake is that it is the only floating lake in the whole world. The lake has floating islands on it called the Phumidis which are also inhabited by the fishermen of the surrounding areas. Some of the Phumidis are artificially created for fish farming. A visit to the Loktak Lake in Bishnupur District is incomplete without stepping foot at the Sendra Island. The Sendra Island on the Loktak Lake is a popular picnic spot for the locals whereas for the tourist spot it is an added attraction while visiting Loktak Lake.
 

Keibul Lamjao National Park is different and one of its kind. It is the only floating park in the world, home to a variety of animals and birds. Situated in Bishnupur district close to the town of Thanga, the Keibul Lamjao National Park is an integral part of the Loktak Lake. The biggest attraction of the lake is the endangered Eld’s Deer or the Brow-antlered Deer, locally known as Sangai. It is the dancing deer which makes Bishnupur and Manipur famous. Keibul Lamjao was declared a national park in 1977 mainly to protect the Sangai whereas earlier it was declared a sanctuary. Keibul Lamjao National Park floats because of a unique ecosystem. Most of the vegetation in the park is in the form of the floating marshes called Phumdi.
