By Train - There are four main train stations in Buenos Aires Retiro, Constitution, Once and Federico Lacroze. Long distance domestic trains, and trains to neighbouring countries of Uruguay and Brazil can be boarded from any of these stations.
By Bus - Buenos Aires is connected very well to the rest of the country and some neighbouring countries as well through a strong bus network. Retiro bus station is the main terminal from where you can catch buses to virtually any place in the country, including the popular districts of Catamarca, Cordova, The Pampa, Mendoza, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Tucuman and more. Buses also serve the neighbouring countries of Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay and Paraguay. Over 100 Argentinian bus companies operate out of this terminal.
Getting Around - The best way to get around Buenos Aires is by subway, also known as "the subte." The subte is quick, affordable, and easy to navigate with maps, easily attainable at subte stations. Bus lines are also efficient, although they are less trotted by tourists. Taxis are another convenient way to get around the city, look for black and yellow radio taxis, which are metered. With an efficient public transportation system and abundance of taxis, there's no need to rent a car in Buenos Aires.
