Cristo de la Concordia represents the largest statue of Christ in the world. Outstretching its arms in a welcoming embrace this steel and cement statue is 33 mts tall. The view of the valley from the highest mountain peak looks stunning. It is accessible by cable car or by climbing 2000 steps. The left hand of the statue points to the South, and the right points to the North. The construction of the statue began on 12th July 1987 and completed on 20th November 1994. 
 

Angostura a popular weekend getaway for stressed out city dwellers is an artificial lake just seventeen kilometres southeast of Cochabamba. Angostura Lake provides over 75 million cubic meters of water to the region, and is a gorgeous place to take a short boat ride and was the biggest irrigation project in Bolivia. Near the lake a popular restaurant called Las Carmelitas serves incredible cheese empanadas which are baked underground. Angostura Lake is one of the must see attractions of Cochabamba and serves a nice place to spend a relaxing, and filling, Sunday afternoon.
 

Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian is a historical, cultural and architectural church of Roman Catholic and is located on the South side of the square 14 September, being considered as national heritage. It was built at the beginning of the 18th century on ancient existing temples of the 15th and 17th centuries. This beautiful cathedral has a floor of cross Latin of three bodies and majestic Baroque style with a beautiful facade portico made of stone. In addition to the clock tower of the church at the height of 126 ft, the domes of neo classic style located in the centre are impressively beautiful.
 

Plaza de las Banderas is located in Cochabamba and lies next to Capriles Stadium. This is a circular park with a water fountain located at the end of the Paseo del Prado where flags of all American countries flutter permanently.
 

Mariscal Santa Cruz is located in south part of the city at La Chimba and is visited frequently by children who enjoy the pool and water games. This largest water park in the city of Cochabamba was inaugurated in 1999. This is the place where tourists can enjoy in a family pool, natural environment, different recreational games and pedal boats and immerse in an aquatic experience inside the park museum.
 

Museo Casona Santivanez is an architectural relic of colonial style dating from the 19th century. The elegance, history and colour of this place characterize this infrastructure as great tourist attraction of Cochabamba. It belonged to Don Juan Antonio Santivanez and after his death the building is used for the purpose of sheltering the museum of the Santivanez family and a centre of cultural artistic exhibition. The place is adorned with paintings and furniture that belonged to the Santivanez family and despite the time it remains intact. This museum is great architectural wealth of Cochabamba and is declared as historic heritage of Cochabamba.
