The former cinema has been turned into a venue that has made a name for itself even beyond the city borders. Its diversified programme guarantees success. Comfortable upholstered folding chairs, best view of the stage and a surprisingly good acoustics. Rapid handling at the wardrobe and enter and exit of the room is super. It is a more manageable Auditorium so that visitors can see the stage well from all the places lying on soft and cosy armchairs. This is a trendy theatre that showcases great titles and shows. Art films screened in English on specific days.

Schloss Eller and the park have a long development history, which reaches the 13th century. A castle like property developed from the mediaeval town of Wasserburg until the beginning of the 19th century with a landscaped, small landscape park, which was initially confined to the island areas in the immediate vicinity of the building. The island park, whose southern limit so far was the Eselsbach, was expanded by afforestation southwards at the end of the 19th century. At the beginning of the 20th century a forest park with extensive meadows and a new pond system was developed. He increasingly formed a self evident unity with the former island park. The monumental value of Schloss Eller is based on the still largely preserved ensemble from the beginning of the 19th century neo classical altered castle complex and the simultaneously formed, small scenic island park as well as the nearly 100 years later developed, southern adjoining forest park.

The Stadtmuseum is the oldest museum in Düsseldorf. In 1873, a donation of oil paintings from the estate of the Freiherr of Stutterheim gave the first impulse to the foundation of the museum. With visitor participation being key to the Stadtmuseum it breaks new ground by providing a platform which enables citizens to shape urban processes. The commentary and work levels, as well as the project rooms of the collection, which spans prehistory and proto history through to the present and is of considerable European significance, enable visitors to view, discuss, research and design their own city free of charge. The mobile visitor service is readily available for specific information. Major special exhibitions on architecture, fashion, art, photography, music and film focus on the local and the global city.

Seat of the State Chancellery NRW and office of the Minister President the extraordinary building consists of two rhombic parallel glass towers with 16 floors and 3 connecting attic floors. The outer facade follows the principle of structural glazing, the inner one consists of wings of room height, some of which are fixed and some of which can be opened. The two gate towers are arranged such that one has an all round view from inside. Each floor has a surface of 750 sq mts. Even with extreme summer heat, room temperatures remain pleasant due to a cooling system extracting cold air from the soil. At the real estate exhibition MIPIM in Cannes in 1998, the building was awarded the Oscar of architecture as object of the year and the special prize of the jury as best office building.
