Museo Corbeta Esmeralda is the most important cultural historical heritage work that was built on the occasion of the celebration of the Bicentennial of Chile. The museum is a real scale representation of the glorious Emerald that was sunk in the Naval Battle of Iquique on 21st May, 1879. The replica was made by the Shipyards Marco Chilena and the museology by the company of design and architecture Amercanda. There are guided tours that depart every 15 minutes in groups of up to 10 people. The building in which the museum is housed is declared a national monument consists of a compact structure and constitutes a relic of the past that faces the lighthouse of the former White Island.
 

The Clock Tower built in 1878 is located in Plaza Arturo Prat in Iquique and is declared as National Historic Landmark of Chile in 1987. The tower was built with the mechanism imported from England. The clock tower is considered as one of the most representative urban expressions of the Saltpetre Period, a time which saw much foreign investment. The structure of the tower is eclectic combining Gothic elements with elements of Islamic architecture. The building also exhibits pointed, toothed and lobed arches in the same composition evoking a Mudejar style.
 

Museo Historico Militar founded in 1998 is located in the central Baquedano Street of Iquique and belongs to the Sixth Army Division. Weapons such as rifles, carbines, sabers and revolvers as well as ammunition and military clothing are part of the collection of the Military History Museum. Its three rooms show testimonies of the Pacific War collected in the pampas of the first region through the years. There are implements used in the Battle of the Conception, Combat of Pampa Germania, Combat of Dolores and landing of Pisagua, among others. A series of displays show plans and maps of the take of the Morro de Arica.
 

Museo Regional Iquique is one of the best showcases in the history of North America and showcases a significant summary of the region of Tarapaca. The Regional Museum of Iquique is defined as a centre that collects, preserves and disseminates the archaeological, ethnographic and historical patrimonial heritage of the region. Show de los Lobos is a recreational educational presentation of free entrance where the whole community participates and enjoys the marine stars. An aquatic show that begins with the performance of Lobo Shera, a young and educated male who greets the audience and his assistant with a kiss and a warm hug. This Lobito is in charge of teaching some of the important characteristics that sea lions have, mainly for those who confuse them with seals.
 

The Municipal Theatre of Iquique was built in 1889 and was formally inaugurated on 1st January, 1890 during the time of nitrate. The theatre is almost entirely built of wood of Douglas fir brought especially from the United States. Great artists of the time spent on this palace among which Sarah Bernhardt, Antonio Vico, Della Guardia and Fregoli are some famous names. The theatre seeks the attention of tourists coming to Iquique by her great figure and opulence. The Municipal Theatre of Iquique is located next to the Plaza Prat and is the place where cultural and arts events are organized.
