Museo Corbeta Esmeralda
Museo Corbeta Esmeralda is the most important cultural historical heritage work that was built on the occasion of the celebration of the Bicentennial of Chile. The museum is a real scale representation of the glorious Emerald that was sunk in the Naval Battle of Iquique on 21st May, 1879. The replica was made by the Shipyards Marco Chilena and the museology by the company of design and architecture Amercanda. There are guided tours that depart every 15 minutes in groups of up to 10 people. The building in which the museum is housed is declared a national monument consists of a compact structure and constitutes a relic of the past that faces the lighthouse of the former White Island.
