Rao Madho Singh Museum is a key tourist attraction of Kota. It is named after the first King of Kota, Raja Madho Singh. It was a palace that was later converted into a museum. Specimens are displayed in a chronological manner in the museum. Everything in the museum is well preserved hence making it one of the best museums in Rajasthan. Visitors can see beautiful paintings, ancient coins, silver utensils, manuscripts, sculptures, epigrams, idols, weapons, and frescoes in the museum. Small paintings from the Kota School of Painting are also put on display here. The museum remains closed on Government holidays and Fridays.
 

Government Museum is a popular tourist attraction of Kota located inside the Brij Vilas Palace, close to Kishore Sagar Lake. The museum has an exceptional collection of old coins, ancient manuscripts, and Hadotio sculptures. Among all the sculptures exhibited here, the statue brought from Baroli is the most incredible one. It is an elegant and beautifully carved piece of artwork. Some of the statues present here are quite old and date back to the 4th century. The manuscripts and the paintings displayed in the museum speak volumes about the creative minds of people from the medieval era. In addition to all this, visitors can also see beautiful costumes and handicrafts in the museum.
 

Chambal Garden is situated on the banks of the Chambal River at the Amar Niwas. This beautiful and big park serves as a perfect picnic spot as it is located amid picturesque surroundings. A pond located in the middle of the garden is home to some crocodiles. A suspension bridge is also built over this pond. There was a time when the entire river was full of crocodiles. However, during the mid 20th century, a number of crocodiles were hunted down. A few of them that survived can be spotted here in the pond. Gharial, a type of crocodile with a thin snout, can also be spotted in this pond.
 

The beautiful Haveli of Devta Shridharji is located in the middle of the busy market. The haveli is noted for its splendid frescoes and rooms ornate with lovely wall paintings.
 

Jagmandir Palace stands amidst the beautiful, artificial Kishore Sagar Lake in Kota. The lake was built in the year 1346 by the Prince Dehra Deh of Bundi, and the palace was constructed in 1740 by one of the queens of Kota. This palace is made up of beautiful red sandstone and looks really splendid. Tourists can see the reflection of the palace in the pellucid waters of the lake as they enjoy boating. This palace was built for recreation of the former kings of Kota. Keshar Bagh, which is popular for its royal cenotaphs, is located in the vicinity of the palace.
 

Built in the year of 1972, Jawahar Sagar Dam is part of the chain of dams constructed under the Chambal Valley Project. Erected over the mighty River Chambal, Jawahar Sagar Dam is an important multipurpose dam of the region of Kota that serves several important functions. Situated at a short distance of 29 kms upstream and 26 kms downstream from the Kota city and Rana Pratap Sagar Dam respectively, Jawahar Sagar Dam produces total power of 60 MW from the 3 units of 33 MW each. Apart from being a major source of producing power and electricity, Jawahar Sagar Dam releases excess water during times of natural calamities of drought. The Jawahar Sagar Dam is an important hallmark of the state of Rajasthan which plays various roles.
