Gurdwara Baoli Sahib is a famous shrine located on the Zirakpur Kalka Highway in Mohali. There is a popular belief that a descendant of Baba Gurditta Ji meditated at this site for many years. Having heard of him, Guru Gobind Singh Ji halted here on his way to Anandpur Sahib after the Bhangani battle. Guru Gobind Singh Ji shot an arrow into the ground to fulfil his wish, at the point of which sprung a shallow well. Later, a shrine was erected at this sacred site and was named as Gurdwara Baoli Sahib. Pilgrims from across the country visit this place on the day of Amavas to take a dip in the holy water of the Baoli.
