Known as a South Indian Temple, the Uttara Swami Malai Mandir is in R.K.Puram Sector-7, New Delhi. Dedicated to Lord Murugan, this temple boasts unique architecture, where no cement & mortar has been used to construct the shrine. It is also one of those few places where Hindus from the Tamil, Telegu, Kannada & Malayali communities worship together. The main deity of the shrine is Lord Murugan (Lord Karthikeya). Its structure draws inspiration from the Chola style of South Indian temple architecture. The pillars of the temple have beautiful designs from south India. Opening and closing time is 6:30 am to 11:00 am and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am to 12:00 pm & 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday & 6:30 am to 12:00 pm, and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, the entry to the temple is free.
