Rachol Seminary

About this place

Near the Raia village, this seminary is easily accessible by road, just before the hill. From there, a short hike will take you up to the seminary. Surrounded by the ruins of a Muslim fort and beautiful golden rice fields, this is one of the first few seminaries in Goa. The complex also houses a church dedicated to St. Ignatius Loyola - the founder of the Jesuit order, which is still well-maintained despite being nearly four centuries old. Situated  5 kilometers from Margao in South Goa, this majestic seminary is a center of learning philosophy and theology.
