It's the highest point in Kufri and offers majestic views on a clear day & one can even see the Badrinath and Kedarnath ranges. The best way to reach the place is by undertaking the hike through a thick forest of deodar and spruce up to the summit. During ski season, the Mahasu ridge is a spot for beginners to practice before hitting the rougher slopes.
