This Sanctuary is situated at a distance of 15 kms from Hoshiarpur on Hoshiarpur Mehengrowal road. This Sanctuary is spread over 382 hctrs of Government area that falls in District Hoshiarpur. This Sanctuary is situated at the foothills of Shivalik Range of Himalayas and is representative of Foot Hill Ecosystem. It abodes a variety of wildlife species and is rich in floral diversity also. The famous sanctuary lies in the beautiful core of nature. It is located in the Shivalik range of the Himalayas. The enormous, mighty Himalayas surround the sanctuary lying in the foothills of the range. The sanctuary is one of the most famous and well maintained wild life sanctuaries of the nation. The site is covered with enormous and beautiful trees like pine, deodar, fur, eucalyptus from all sides. The site gets a unique identity in the core of nature, with the mighty Himalayas covering it from all sides and the thick green vegetation adding a peaceful tranquil feeling to it. The sanctuary is home to many wild animals like barking deer, jungle cats, tigers, jackals and many other endangered species.
