About this place
This gurudwara is situated in Kashipur in the Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. According to the legends, the Dhela River used to cause havoc in the city by flooding each year. When Guru Nanak Dev Ji reached this place, the local people were on the verge of leaving this place for safer grounds. He started singing kirtans and after touching Guru Sahib’s feet, the river receded. It is said that since then, the river has never flooded the city again.
