About this place

Keladevi Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Karauli, adjacent to the Rajasthan Madhya Pradesh border. It sprawls over an area of 676.40 sq kms. River Banas flows through the western edge of the sanctuary while River Chambal flows in the south east direction. The sanctuary, which is named after the Kela Devi Temple, is covered with sylvan and presents a scenic landscape to visitors. The sanctuary is home to many animals which include chinkaras, wild boars and jackals. Other animals such as tigers, leopards, sloth bears, hyenas, wolves and sambars can also be spotted in this sanctuary.
