Nakki Lake is another popular attraction in Mount Abu, visited by tourists and residents. It is located at an elevation of 1200 meters and is India's only artificial lake. It is a beautiful and serene place with picturesque hills as the backdrop. A legend about the lake says god dug the lake with nails to protect himself from wicked demons, hence the name Nakki Lake. According to another legend, the lake was dug in one night by Rasiya Balam, a sculpture of Dilwara Jain Temples.
