About this place

The Gandhi Stupa of Vivaywada is located on the Gandhi Hills. This is the first Gandhi Memorial in India to be constructed with seven Stupas. The Memorial is located at an altitude of 500 feet on the Hill. It was inaugurated by the President of India, Dr. Zakir Hussain in October 1968. The Stupa is a 52 feet tall structure. The Gandhi Memorial Library, a light and sound show, which showcases Gandhiji’s life trajectory, and a planetarium have also been constructed to increase the attractiveness of this place.
