About this place

Jeenmata is a village famous for an ancient temple dedicated to the Goddess Jeen Mata. According to a belief, this shrine was constructed around 1000 years ago. The architecture of the temple displays typical Rajputana design. The 24 beautiful pillars of the temple are carved with different figures. Travellers can see here the eight-handed idol of the goddess, Jeen Mata. A large number of devotees visit this shrine on the occasion of an annual fair which is held on the festive occasion of Navratri. This Hindu festival is celebrated in the months of Chaitra and Ashwini of the Indian calendar.
