Puthen Palli, also known as The Basilica of Our Lady of Dolours articulates the city's lineage ravelled in multi ethnicity through its splendid architecture influenced by eastern and western styles. Built over a period of many years, the construction of this structure changed many hands to stand today, as one of the few churches in India to flaunt Indo-Goth architecture. An abode for the spiritual, this structure inspires awe in both the worldly and the other worldly sense. Third tallest church in Asia and the largest in India, the church are built over a sprawling area of 25,000 square feet.
