About this place

Its temporary exhibitions and collection of Tiffany glass are second to none. Also note the museum building’s colourful history: It was constructed for the 1939 World’s Fair, occupied by the General Assembly of the United Nations and used again for the World’s Fair of 1964 and 1965. The three dimensional map of New York, the Panorama, was constructed for the latter World’s Fair and is regularly updated for viewing.
