More than just the home of the prime meridian the observatory serves as a museum containing artefacts from its time as a centre for the study of navigation. Keep an eye out for the world's first marine chronometers and the UK's largest refracting telescope, which was made in 1893. The observatory also puts on art exhibits with maritime and astronomy themes and hosts a 120 seat planetarium. Make sure to bring camera, as one will have views of London's Canary Wharf from here.
