Several waterfalls adorn the beautiful hills of the Chumukedima village, an ancient village near Dimapur which is now being promoted as a must visit tourist attraction. Located 14 kilometres from Dimapur city, Chumukedima village lies on the foothills of the Naga Hills. Chumukedima had served as the first headquarters of the then Naga Hills District under the British rule in the early 19th Century. The tourism department of Nagaland, with the idea of promoting the area has created a tourist village on top of the hill from where the entire city of Dimapur and some parts of Karbi Anglong district can be clearly seen. It is located 8 kms away from the National Highway.
