Pune
The Baneshwar Temple is a charming and quiet place in the village of Nasarapur, 36 Kms Southwest of Pune & if you wish to have a single-day trip from Pune. The Baneshwar temple is quite good and reveals our old architecture and culture. The park surrounding the temple is quite large & requires hours to explore & very well maintained with diverse flora and fauna. The Baneshwar Waterfall is also good, but it’s not a very big one or from a height & is in a protected forest area. The whole place is a great picnic spot for families. The Ban means forest & Ishwar means God, which means God within a forest.
