The Mercury is one of Chicago's premier commercial rental venues. An end stage with 290 comfy seats, plentiful legroom, and excellent acoustics, the Mercury is perfect for plays and small musicals. Built as a silent film nickelodeon, the 100 year old facility was refurbished in 1996 into a live venue with modern amenities. Another recently completed renovation has provided additional restrooms, a new box office, and new HVAC equipment. The Mercury is attached to the old fashioned Irish pub Cullen's Bar and Grill to the south and the more upscale neighbourhood bistro Deleece to the north.
