TULSI LAKE

About this place

The lake is a freshwater lake situated at Salsette Island within the premises of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, also known as Borivali National Park. The lake was built by constructing a dam across River Tasso and redirecting the water. The lake is famous for its scenic, lush green backdrop and diverse flora and fauna & has a sustainable number of freshwater crocodiles. Entry for the public is restricted & hence, prior permission from Sanjay Gandhi National Park authorities is required before heading to the lake due to the presence of crocodiles.
