The famous Chaturshringi temple, situated on the Senapati Bapat Road, was built during the reign of Shivaji Maharaj. Although the temple is amid big IT companies & gigantic commercial buildings, the Chaturshringi temple has not lost its grandeur. One of the fascinating things about the temple is that the Chaturshringi temple has a scale model of its entire premises displayed at the entrance. One of the major attractions of the Chaturshringi temple of Pune is the Navratri Festival, organized in the month of October-November. Chaturshringi is a mountain with four peaks.
The deity in the temple is Goddess Chaturshringi, also known as Goddess Ambareshwari & is also considered the deity of Pune.
