Get a glimpse of Russia's artistic past at Muzeon Art Park, a space dedicated to statues and monuments primarily from the days of the Soviet Union. The park, home to more than 700 pieces, is something of a time capsule from an era when socialist realist styles dominated public spaces around the country. One can find all sorts of famous figures among the multitude of statues including the infamous Josef Stalin and Vladimir Lenin along with the equally ubiquitous hammer and sickle symbols of the former USSR. Tourists will see plenty of generic statues dedicated to workers, collective farmers, and other Soviet archetypes as well.
