The Fort is in Kila Rd, Crossing, Ram Nagar, near the Ganga River on its eastern bank, opposite the Tulsi Ghat, about 14 km from Varanasi, built by Kashi Naresh Raja Balwant Singh with sandstone in the year 1750. The most significant construction within Ramnagar Fort is the renowned Durbar hall & which houses the Ved Vyasa shrine, a residential compound for the king. The Fort has a museum that exhibits an array of old armors, guns, antique clocks, ivory work, swords, medieval costumes, vintage cars, gold & silver royal palki, and silver elephant saddles carved out of silver, furniture, and much more.
