The City Palace is built on the banks of Pichola Lake and is a complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. This Palace also includes the famous Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal. The Palace was built between 1729 and 1732, initially by Sawai Jai Singh II. The entry gates are richly decorated & there are three entry gates to the complex, namely Virendra Pol, Udai Pol, and the Tripolia Gate. Opening hours 9.30 am-5 pm. Entry fees for Indians with a camera is Rs.100 & for a foreigner with a camera is 400 & with a guide is Rs.300. Charges for Royal Grandeur tour is Rs. 2500 & the price of admission includes entry to Jaigarh & is valid for two days.
