About this place

Nahargarh Fort was built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II on the Aravalli hills. Along with Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh acted as a defensive circle to guard the city. The Fort was named Sudarshangarh, but it became known as Nahargarh, which means Abode of Tigers. The Fort offers a magnificent vision of the picturesque surroundings to the visitors.
