Grotte de Szemlohegy is an underground natural formation of complex cave system in the city of Budapest covering about 30 kms. Szemlohegy Cave with its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites is easy to get to from the city centre and offers daily guided tours which last about half an hour to 45 minutes. This cave was discovered in 1930 in the Bida Mountain Range and is also called as underground flower garden. The hot springs inside the cave have formed wonderful decorations on the walls which look like bouquets and bunch of grapes. The unexpected erosion has formed extraordinary and disconcerts shapes and forms inside the caves which sparkle like jewels due to the mineral sediment that preserve them.
