A semi elliptical crescent house, the Royal Crescent was designed by John Wood and was completed in 1774. It was the first of the eight crescents in Bath and the shape is the most unique one among all. One of the most iconic landmarks, the Royal Crescent was built between 1767 and 1775. It was designed by John Wood the Younger and is one of the best examples of Georgian architecture in UK. Now it is home to a luxury hotel which is a perfect place to spend a weekend. Along with that, there is a museum of Georgian life and a private housing. It is arranged around lawn that overlooks Victoria Park and has amazing landscape scenery. It is a row of 30 terraced houses that is laid out in a form of a crescent. Many notable people have resided in this place since it was first built 230 years ago.
