The amazing American Museum in Britain houses a collection of objects related to the culture of the United States in a 19th century home. The exhibits showcase furniture, maps, Native tools and other objects. Tourists will explore period rooms devoted to various themes and will be able to stroll through the 14 hctrs of public parks of the property. The opening of the American Museum in Britain dates back to 1961. Its exhibits are housed in Claverton Manor an estate built in 1820. The premises used to be headquarters to a group of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War World. On the infant floor one will find a heritage exhibit featuring the stories of the Amerindians the founding fathers the Civil War and other events. Interactive and audiovisual screens offer more information about exhibitions.
