Santuario Sagrado Corazon De Jesus also known as Sanctuary Sacred Heart of Jesus is located in Esmeralda, Iquique. It has two altars, one dedicated to the patron saint of all South America, Santa Rosa de Lima and the other to the virgin and martyr St. Philomena. It was given the rank of Sanctuary in 200 and the construction on the side of the interior was carried out with more than 500 pieces many of which were brought from Italy. Within this work are shown some images of Northern Chile its culture, customs and beliefs. It serves about 500 people in its main masses for Sundays.
