Sri Venkateswara Wildlife Sanctuary is a famous National Park in the Cuddapah District, which has been named after Lord Venkateswara. It was established in 1989 and houses many wildlife species. The sanctuary also has the Gundalakona, Talakona and the Gunjana Waterfalls. One can spot varied animals like black buck, spotted deer, sloth bear, jungle fowl, flying lizards and many others. Avifauna of the sanctuary comprises more than 100 species of birds that include kingfishers, white bellied woodpecker and ashy crowned finch. Flora of the sanctuary comprises more than 1500 species of plants. Gymnosperm, terminalia pallida, tamba jalari and shorea talura are some of the plants seen in the Sri Venkateswara Wildlife Sanctuary.
